It wasn't a bad sort of walk. He just couldn't sleep, and he didn't want to disturb Hattie by watching movie after movie or tossing and turning or worse, changing so that he would be forced to re-charge, a kind of alternate sleep.

Getting a feel for the track in a different way so that he would better understand it the next time he drove it. Wondering what fatherhood would be like.
